Additional Scope of Facilitation (Mandatory Training for Selected Companies):

Adaptation to ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) – Awareness Training (Phase 1) Facilitation

This initial facilitation phase is designed to equip SMEs with foundational knowledge and practical tools in the areas of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. Conducted by an appointed ESG Service Provider, this training introduces participants to the core concepts and benefits of adopting ESG practices, emphasizing how sustainable and ethical practices can enhance long-term business value and resilience.

Key Objectives of the ESG Awareness Training:

1. Understanding ESG Fundamentals:

Participants will gain insight into each component of ESG—Environmental, Social, and Governance—and how these areas impact business operations, investor expectations, and regulatory compliance. The training will cover essential topics, such as minimizing environmental impact, fostering social responsibility, and establishing sound corporate governance practices.

2. Exploring ESG Benefits for SMEs:

The program highlights how adopting ESG standards can enhance brand reputation, foster stakeholder trust, and open up new market opportunities. SMEs will learn how ESG practices can help them stay competitive and respond to evolving customer expectations and market trends.

3. Guidance on Basic ESG Reporting:

Participants will receive step-by-step guidance on creating a basic ESG report. This report outlines a company’s commitment to sustainable and ethical practices, serving as a transparent communication tool for stakeholders. SMEs will be introduced to ESG reporting standards, key metrics to track, and the process of gathering data needed to demonstrate their progress.

4. Tailored Support for Implementation:

The training will address specific challenges faced by SMEs in implementing ESG practices, providing relevant case studies and examples. Companies will gain practical advice on how to make incremental changes toward sustainability, social responsibility, and governance best practices.

This ESG Awareness Training is a mandatory requirement for all recipients of this program, ensuring that each participating company develops a strong understanding of ESG principles. This foundational training will prepare companies to embed ESG considerations into their operations and strategies, setting the stage for further development in sustainable practices.
