WHBC Circuit 2023 Expands to the UK to Boost Halal Industries in a US$3 Trillion Market

Petaling Jaya – October 2, 2023 – The World Halal Business Conference Circuit (WHBC Circuit) 2023, a prestigious industry event meticulously organized by Halal Development Corporation Berhad (HDC), is poised to expand its global footprint after a remarkable run in Australia last year. WHBC is gearing up to make its presence felt in London, United Kingdom, scheduled for October 27th to 28th, 2023.

Hosted by the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI) and organized by HDC, WHBC Circuit 2023 London sets out with the ambitious goal of catalyzing the growth of halal industries in Malaysia, the United Kingdom, and across the European Union.

Themed “Halal Opportunities in a Borderless World,” WHBC Circuit 2023, now in its 15th edition, will harness the participation of esteemed government officials from both Malaysia and the United Kingdom, industry titans, businesses, trade councils, and civil society representatives from around the globe. Over two days, this conference will serve as a platform for in-depth discussions, vital endorsements, and invaluable networking opportunities.

Khairul Azwan Harun, Chairman of HDC, outlined the conference’s primary focus, stating, “WHBC Circuit in London will revolve around three critical pillars: promoting investment, facilitating trade negotiations, and nurturing Halal talents. The United Kingdom and Malaysia share a robust trade and investment partnership, founded on the mutual recognition of its contribution to sustainable economic growth. The conference aims to explore collaborative prospects across various sectors, including food & beverages, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, supply chain, financial services, Environmental Social and governance (ESG), and technology sectors.

Delegates at the two-day conference will glean insights from the Thought Leaders session, featuring 40 distinguished panel speakers and moderators.
